401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employees at least 21 years of age can join our 401(k) Plan and save pre-tax dollars for retirement. Eligibility to join begins on the first of the month following 30 days of service. On the first of the month following six months of service, American Community matches 65 cents to every $1 employees invest up to 6% . The maximum an employee may contribute is 60% (up to the IRS limit per calendar year). A Plan participant becomes fully vested in the program after three years of service, and participants may roll funds over from other 401(k) plans prior to participation. Our 401(k) management firm is Fidelity Investments, through which we offer participants 14 different fund options to select from when investing their 401(k) contributions and Company match.
